In July 2010, Rupert Grint appeared on the TV show Top Gear, in the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car segment, lapping the shortest time for a celebrity driver in Top Gear history at 1:45:05.

Today, Rupert returned to the show’s live show at ExCel Arena in London to appear on Star In A Reasonably Priced Car – Live! to re-claim his top spot on the leaderboard.

“I’m really looking forward to putting my time on the leader board at Top Gear Live this November. Hopefully, with a little bit of luck, the support of the crowd and some of The Stig’s wisdom of course, I can come out the winner!”

Aside from the actual live show, there was also a huge exhibition of cars – modern, old, fast, not-so-fast – and the famous Top Gear Stage.

As part of the live show, Rupert raced two rounds in 51,4s, ending up in second place. His race was followed by an interview in which he talked about his brother’s rallying and his upcoming movie Inot the White.
